Meet Your Coaches!
Andrew Lenton - Lead Coach
Andrew brings decades of leadership in youth sport development to Speed Alliance. He has coached in many sports, including lacrosse, soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, cross-country and track & field. Now, he’s turning his attention to the one foundation linking every sport together - SPEED.
Andrew is a National Coaching Institute graduate and an NCCP Level 4 coach who has served as a Master Course Conductor for the National Run-Jump-Throw program. He has guided athletes at every level—from local track and sports clubs to provincial and national competition—serving as a BC Summer Games Zone Coach, a BC Team Coach at both the National Youth and National Junior Championships, and Head Clinician for the Athletics Canada National Youth Camp. In recognition of his commitment to coaching excellence and program development, Andrew received the Sport BC Community Sport Hero Award and was recently named BC Athletics’ 2025 U20 & U23 Coach of the Year.
Emmett Bravakis
Emmett brings elite-level experience from the University of Toronto, where he worked side by side with varsity athletes in both the weight room and on the track—fine-tuning running mechanics, technique, and strength & power development. As a Performance & Student Leadership Coach, he designed and lead mental performance sessions, emphasizing mental health, resilience, and self-improvement so every athlete could build confidence as well as speed. He himself is a high performance sprinter, and was the 2024 Canadian Collegiate 300m National Champion.
Jade Lenton
A lifelong multi-sport standout who still carries her childhood love of competition onto the track, Jade is both a current high-performance track & field athlete and an award-winning youth coach. She’s spent the past several years working with athletes aged 6–14 through high-energy sessions built on speed development, laser-focused technique work, and fun. Jade believes the speed toolkit is essential for every sport, and constantly works to improve her coaching in speed mechanics, agility progressions, and age-appropriate strength training to help every kid unlock their potential. In recognition of her impact, she was named BC Athletics’ 2025 Junior Development Coach of the Year.
